Like George Costanza, I battled the angry sea on my boat trip from Maniitsoq to Nuuk. The weather was terrible and the waves were turbulent, making for a rather rough nine (9!) hour boat ride. Luckily I had a bunk with a curtain where I could attempt to sleep. After the first hour of queasily trying to adjust to the rocking, my stomach settled and I was able to sleep some. But I will have to write more about the ship later (60 wild school kids on a field trip, feeling like I was on moving ground for the next day, etc.)
Instead I will use this internet time to post some compressed pictures from the ice. I don't have current pictures, so these will be from May...

You know an innocent guy comes by to check out your blog and the white surroundings and gets too much of your white skin. Ha ha. Kidding aside, I really enjoy your blog man. Very interesting stuff which I would probably never hear about if not for this. Good stuff.
LOVED the ties and??"beach balls??"
Sorry to hear your trip wasn't all smooth sailing, but encouraged to know that "wild children on field trips" aren't just in the mid-west.
hardhats or hamster habitats? no boots?
the domes in the background, the hats, the headset... nice parallels of shape and color...
