Finally, satellite internet access from 77 degrees N on top of 2600 meters of ice, 500km from the nearest minor settlement. So this will have to be a quick post. Sorry not enough bandwidth for pictures, but again, refer to neem.ku.dk or whatever I posted previously (We can't even check that site because it has too many pictures slash data, so email me and let me know what it look likes).
Can't reply to all or any emails, so this post must suffice.
We arrived on May 7th and worked almost non-stop the first 5 days. Myself and four others, -36 C at night -20 C during the day. Cold toes and fingers are pretty constant, but now after 11 or so days my metabolism, body, etc. have adjusted and I barely (ha!) notice. I bunk with frenchman Gåel and swede Jim in a yellow, unheated dome tent. Was a little surprised that we would be without heat throughout the Greenland 'night'. The sun never sets of course. Pretty much exhausted from the first few days of digging out and establishing this incredibly remote camp on the ice sheet. Now we have constructed several weatherports and other structures and with recent new arrivals, the camps population is now 9.
Many pictures and stories to tell, but internet time is out for the day. Keep emails coming and I will post when I can.
Thomas
